You can only work on one at a time. But you can alternate which one you’re working on, yes. Alternate days, alternate weeks, even morning/evening. My suggestion however, is one until you finish it, THEN switch. If you alternate, that’s o.k. as long as you stay on target: 2 finished and marketed stories per month.

    • I’ll start with one then. I’ll let the group in on my progress. I’m excited and full of dread at the same time. See ya, Comfort Zone! I’ve got moves to make…

As long as you pass it on, Ross, it is a blessing to me to help you.

Excellent. Just learn one or two moves every week. Combine with your “Morning Ritual.” And ask ANY questions that arise!

Starshadow…money is a real thing, and lack of it can create serious pain and self-doubt. As this site develops, we can create threads specifically addressing this. Meanwhile, let’s be sure we have your email on the list so that you get your free copy of THINK AND GROW RICH, which is the very best book on this subject ever written, by far,…[Read more]

Starshadow, that is 100% on point. ANY writing that engages and excites you helps to connect heart (emotions) head (knowledge) and body (work). And that is the path of growth. When it is FUN? When you can laugh your ass off while you do it? Better still!

    I like that notion, Ross!

Loneliness is a result of not tapping into your own heart. We seek from others what we fail to give to ourselves. So while Skype, Facebook, and blogging are ways to connect, your daily meditations, connecting within, are critical.

The “Ancient Child” meditation available free on this site is a powerful way to begin this process. Also…[Read more]

Hill is seriously not omnipotent or omniscient. His only real life success was apparently the teaching of these very principles. So while a serious pinch of salt needs to be taken, I know of no book that comes closer to a real toolkit. Its longevity is one of the reasons I trust it: millions of people, for almost a century, have found it more…[Read more]

Not read the original story yet. The basic idea: “Mankind will only pull together if aliens arrive” has been expressed many many times, and I think “Arrival” and “ID4” (while a cartoon) are the only ones who have gotten it right.

So the thing to do is get to work! Commit to a particular output, and then let us support you. We recommend 2-4 pieces a month, but 1 per month is o.k. by Tananarive. The important thing is that you actually get it done…or notice what stops you and begin to dig into that “stuff.” One way or another, the things that stop us as individuals also…[Read more]

    • Ok…here goes! 4 overwhelms me and 1 feels like I’m not committed. I’ll start with 2. *biting nails
Do you suggest I work on one than the other or is it fine to work on 2 simultaneously?

Hey, everyone! Great to meet you all. Let us know what we can do to support you!

Don’t post the story. Post a paragraph describing the story and its emotional/philosophical intent. We’ll be in touch after we make a selection. Tell us what emotion you were trying to convey, the communication. Or the feeling you were experiencing when you wrote it.

    Thanks!

    APPLYING “THE MACHINE”

The “Machine” IS THE SUCCESS PATH for this course. I created it for writing students to understand a pretty much failsafe path to becoming a published writer. It originated in my own wish, forty years ago, to push away despair and discouragement, knowing that it would require many, many “failures” before I ever reache…[Read more]

I suspect that a liberal mindset is a bit more likely to result from/go through the processes that lead to that mindset, but not by much. I can say that one who sees things dualistically is less likely to fall into the NEGATIVE aspects of the conservative mindset, but possibly be more likely to fall into the negative aspects of the Left-leaning…[Read more]

Actually, that doubt never fully leaves. It cycles around over and over, but we gain greater awareness that it is just part of the process.

I know a man named Tim Piering who exemplified as close to “every” principle in that book as I can think off the top of my head. Very successful, healthy, accomplished man on every level. I honestly don’t know ANYONE who is successful who didn’t exemplify about 1/3 of the principles at the least.

A man like Benjamin Franklin covered a lot of…[Read more]

We’d love that. The plan is to build this group up, and then have live meetings and workshops.

Very welcome. How has your experiment in copying existing writers gone?
