I’ve had that week in an isolated cabin with no internet access. I did get work done but I mostly cooked, did cabin maintenance, and hunted mice. NOT the most productive use of my time from a writing standpoint. LOL.

Time management might be one of my issues. *wry smile*

My bugaboo is everything after step one, unfortunately. I have many short…[Read more]

It really is unusually smart film-making.

thank you, RJ. We would like to build this up to a thousand people, a damned fine number to really uncover some “human gems” who can help change the world. If you know writers you think would be nurtured by what we’re doing here, please send them our way.

But most importantly, continue to let us know what we can do to support you.…[Read more]

I would suggest using the “Magic” formula:
    Magic = Action X Gratitude X Intention X Conviction

Meaning: that you have to take daily ACTION toward your goal, so break it up into pieces that can be handled on a small-step basis.

You need to focus on what you feel GRATEFUL for in your life, to counter fear and place yourself in a positive state.…[Read more]

Thank you for starting the thread!
I’m planning to keep adding to this beyond Thanksgiving week, so I hope others will as well. Just going to add one big one for now:
I’m extremely grateful for this class, for the work that Tananarive and Steve have done over their lives to get to the place where they can offer us such insight, and for their work…[Read more]

    Hello, peace and blessings,
Ellen – thank you for starting this topic! I am grateful that you have done so, and grateful for you.
I am also grateful for my brother, friends who are in close proximity and those who are across the country and across the world. I am grateful for the calling to write and grateful that I am still writing, especially…[Read more]

Grateful for the opportunity to take this class at a challenging time personally, professionally and … in the larger communities. Maybe I should just say challenging time. The class has helped me focus on what I can do, and that helps me keep from getting overwhelmed, and I’m deeply grateful for that.

Grateful for a roof over my head, the free…[Read more]

I’m amused as heck because before last weekend I was completely unaware that there was a movie in theatres called Arrival. I googled for the movie, and found a 1996 movie with Charlie Sheen, which was also called the Arrival. We dutifully watched it. It did have a vague message about climate change, but Miko and I did debate for a while afterwards…[Read more]

If the future is like the patterns of the past, there will be strife but largely cycles of growth and integration. The human race has been here a loooong time, and in general, there has been more peace than war, more love than hate. Our pesky reticular activating mechanisms are set to notice the one burning house more than the ten thousand happy ones.

I would either leave, or ask myself where the insecurity comes from. Confess that it is my problem and that I hope she will help me learn where my wounds are, with a commitment to heal them. I would meditate and journal, and find teachers who can help me. And accept that it will take time. I gave you a year to heal. The rest of this is just…[Read more]

    How are you doing today?
    Have you done walking?
    Have you felt supported?

Steven, honestly, not from a perspective as a coach: How would YOU handle the situation I am in?

  • Hi Steven.
I am 42 now – I will move flats soon, and I am ready to start over.
I lost my running yoga-courses and courses at the university also. I am ready to start a more creative life now – and I really want to do business.

I love coaching people, even if I have lots of issues myself still.

Still I am the “void” and not really knowing what…[Read more]

Hi Steven. Finally I managed to find the way to the new forum.
I will follow your advice. I just dont like when a woman talks explicitely about every details when she fucked the guys in her past – that is not very compassionate. But ok. I deal my shit.
Crazy is that it seems to be 100% MY problem and not even 1% HERS. So why did she leave all…[Read more]

That’s very clear, Ross. Thank you. We’ll reach out to our choices right after we wrap up the class on December 3rd.

“Every day in every way I’m getting better and better” you can say, if you can emotionalize that, and find a way to believe it, even just for those few minutes. I also use:

“God’s wealth circulates in my life. His wealth flows to me in avalanches of abundance. All my need, goals, dreams and desires are mine instantly because I am One with God,…[Read more]

yes, by definition Liberals/progressives would be more open to new ideas…even if they are bad. And Conservatives would hold to established values…even if they are bad. Obviously one would have to be careful, whichever way you lean.
