    I think so it’s fine. Set the goal, but realize that there are multiple paths to the goal. Sometimes we have to invent paths that fit our consciousness, ones that no one else has thought of.

    Thanks for your thoughtful comments, Amanda and RJ. I agree that reactive anger has a constructive purpose (the reptile brain version, as RJ notes). I am more wary of anger as a choice that is indulged in.

    1) Nobody likes to be around angry people except others who are angry in the same way.

    2) Angry people do not listen, especially the more they feel justified in their anger.
